JNANA or SANKYA YOGA – This branch of Yoga is known as the path of knowledge, science, and wisdom. The practice starts with fine distinctions that may progress from careful observation to learning and experimenting, and then merging knowledge with the ability to reflect, meditate, and develop one’s psychic ability of intuition.

KARMA YOGA – Also known as the path of action, this is the practice of unselfish doing of deeds to benefit others and the self without requiring anything in return.
